Join us for the 1st workshop in our Weed Management Intensive, Early Spring Weed Management, with Ryan Lichttenegger of Steel Wheel Farm on Saturday, May 18th. Ryan will do some hands-on demonstrations of flame weeding, stale seed bedding, using implements such as basket weeders, and laying plastic mulch. Participants will have an opportunity for a question and answer session and leave with a variety of resources for their own growing.

Our Weed Management Intensive is comprised of 3 separate workshops and will give participants a three-season view of weed management at multiple scales and techniques ranging from market garden-style to tractor cultivation. Technical Intensives create peer-to-peer farmer mentorship, build farmers’ technical skills, and provide participants with an opportunity to see how multiple, diverse farming operations work.
