Please join us for SVT’s upcoming Monthly Potluck!

In 2018 SnoValley Tilth and King County Agriculture Program Staff surveyed farmers in the valley about their need for both seasonal and year-round housing for farmers and farm workers. King County Regulatory/Permitting Specialist Eric Beach will share a summary of the survey results and we will have a conversation about the allowable uses and approaches to provide both seasonal and year-round on-farm housing. Libby Reed will share about the launch of a similar survey in Snohomish County and lead a discussion about any housing needs that farmers in Snohomish County face.

We welcome all members so whether you’ve never been to a potluck or are a long-time attendee, we hope to see you there! Bring a dish or drink to share or just bring yourself. For the first hour, we’ll do introductions and share food. The second hour will be a presenter or facilitated discussion.

  1. Open program each month? How about apple growing from site to finish. Propagation, soil, training, trellises, organic management, varieties, storage, market. A 45 minute primer in organic commercial growing the domestic apple/berries/vine fruit. I have presented on many subjects, simple to detailed, just want to offer that up. Gil.
